About Me:

As a member of Vancity for more than 30 years, current chair of the Vancity Board Human Resources Committee and Vice-chair of Citizen’s Bank, I seek your support for re-election.

In 2012, I earned the director's designation (ICD.D) from University of Toronto's Rotman School of Management. This adds to the financial skills I have from being trained as an accountant, and to my effectiveness as a strategic thinker and team player gained from Vancity and previous board work.

You may know of my dedication to progressive causes through my work as a journalist at Co-op radio, CKNW, The Province, as CBC TV's National Labour and Economics Specialist, and the Vancouver Courier.

For the past 18 years, I've promoted urban agriculture and the environment through the expansion of urban beekeeping.

My time as president of a non-profit housing society serving people with disabilities continues to inspire my passion for social justice.
